Horse Plaques

After feeling confident using the pyrography pen I went for it and engraved the names into the wood. Although I watched videos and it looked easy, I can promise it is harder than it looks! Letters that are curved are tricky to do especially making sure they are neat. However, with practice I got better and am happy with the outcome. I checked with my client that she liked them and her response was:

"They look amazing! I am thrilled with the outcome, I am so happy!"
I definitely wasn't expecting such a positive response, especially when they were not finished, I bought some lasercut horse shoe shapes online to place either side of the names to make them stand out and give a more attractive appearance.
Finally I used varnish to give them a more aesthetic appearance, as well as a protective quality. This was necessary because the plaques will be in the barn and so need to be protected against rotting.

This is a picture of the final plaques.
