On 24th October we visited London and had the opportunity to see a variety of design pieces. We visited the RCA exhibition and were able to see the originality of different design principles, from textiles to innovation design engineering. My personal favourite was the material Pinatex, which was designed by Carmen Hijosa, and is a non-woven material made from the fibres of pineapple leaves. This material is extremely sustainable and could be used to produce a variety of products. I was amazed at the fact that trainers could be made out of this material and I want some!
