When we visited London we also went to Hyde Park to see the 15th Serpentine Pavilion. The Serpentine Pavilion has become an international site for architectural experimentation, presenting inspirational temporary structures by some of the world's greatest architects. This years pavilion was built by the Spanish architects selgascano designed the 15th Serpentine Pavilion. The Pavilion is an amorphous, double-skinned, polygonal structure consisting of panels of a translucent, multi-coloured fluorine-based polymer (ETFE) woven through and wrapped like webbing.
I found this piece of architecture very bold and eye catching. When you go inside you can experience the light being diffused through the panels, it looks stunning! I wish that I could have experienced this in the dark as well to see the difference in appearance and contrast in colours.
