Manchester Museum is a museum displaying works of archaeology, anthropology and natural history and is owned by the University of Manchester. Although it is particularly a design museum, I took some pictures of things that got me thinking.

From a designer perspective I found the museum very interesting, it was a bit strange looking at stuffed animals and skeletons. However, the skeletons got me thinking of the form of design and how the bones give everything structure. In design it is important to get an interesting form as it is more aesthetically appealing, but this is only possible giving the form a good structure.
The butterflies really caught my attention because of the beautiful form and colour that is involved in such a delicate being. I didn't realise the range of butterflies that actually exist and to me they are absolutely intriguing creatures. The movement of a butterfly is so interesting with such delicate wings it is amazing. This made me think of when I am designing I need to think of how things move and what will make the product interesting and beautiful, but intriguing.
