I was lucky enough to get the chance to attend the Spring Fair in Birmingham, this event was very beneficial as it gave me the opportunity to see the products and businesses that are out there. It also showed the amount of work that goes into these events and even the design behind the stands each company sets up.

There were a huge range of companies there from differing areas of design from jewellery to furniture, but I think this was a good thing as although I was unable to visit all the different areas of the fair, I got a real feel for the range of products I could be involved in designing in the future.

From visiting the fair I was able to find multiple companies that interested me including Jam Jar lights which sell a variety of lighting that is very vintage style, which is something that interests me and captures my eye. Transomnia is another stall that caught my attention because of the subtleness of it, the company sells home giftware. The products are shabby chic and feature many pastel colours. There were so many stalls that I could talk about but it would go on forever! I think that overall the fair was very insightful for me personally because it gave me the opportunity to see what kind of design I might want to do in my future.

I would definitely recommend the fair to everyone because it is a great opportunity for anyone to see and I would definitely attend again. But I think I would have to go for more than one day to see the real benefits and experience more of the stalls.

These are some images of different stalls that interested me.
