In Professional Practice we were speaking about the pyramid of desires. For this we had to think about a selfish desire, so if we could have anything in the world for ourselves what would it be. I found this difficult to think of but I decided that I would have a personalised speed boat and my own lake to drive it on. Next was if we could modify something that already exists what would it be, for me my phone battery is a major issue and so I think that I would design a battery that never ran out of charge. Finally something that would help a lot of people immediately finding a cure for cancer came straight into my head. But realistically I am not a doctor and have never really been that great at science and so don't think I would be about to create cure. So if I really thought about this then I would create aids for people with different disabilities to make their lives easier and help them with everyday tasks that others take for granted.
We again spoke about the pyramid of desires in our drawing session and had to draw the one thing we wanted, this for me had changed although a speed boat would be fun, I changed my desire. I would adopt a dog! No desire for a certain bread or pedigree, I would be happy with any dog. We then looked at patterns in materials and architecture. Following this we had to create a pattern from our desire drawing!

I drew many different patterns but this way by far my favourite as I started with generic bone and paw print shapes but wanted something different. I looked at dog teeth and the image above it the layout of the teeth in the jaw. WIth the patterns we have to manipulate them using programmes such as photoshop to give different effects and textures.
